The Waiting Season Continues

I realize it has been a couple months since we’ve updated y’all…um, try 8 MONTHS?!?!?!? How on earth did that happen? I didn’t really realize we would be missed but was flattered when a couple people told me they had looked for an update several times and were disappointed! So, thank you to the peeps who want to read my thoughts and rattling on about our currently {not so} exciting season of adoption. Thank you to everyone who continues to ask about Bebe and this journey! We appreciate all the prayers and questions! Keep ’em coming!

First things first. We have not yet received the referral call, or as we lovingly call it, “THE CALL”  🙂 We have hope it will be this year but it very well could be 2018 so we are settling in with 100% peace in God’s perfect timing.  I promise, not long after we do receive THE CALL, you will see our 1,000 posts on FaceBook, Instagram, and this blog. We will also most likely call every contact in our phones — all that to say, YOU WILL KNOW one way or another 🙂

I can update you on our agency situation. Our adopting agency AGCI is still the same but the home study agency that we had previously used has dissolved so we are in the process of pursuing another agency to do our home study renewal in the fall.  Pray that it is a smooth transition, this will be the 3rd home study agency that we have used this far  😦

So what have we been up to since September, you ask? For your viewing pleasure, I give you:

The “Still Waiting for Bebe” saga —

Late anniversary trip to Scottsdale, AZ.  Ok, actually the REAL reason this trip happened was because Nick took an accelerated course to study/pass his Series 65 test (an additional investment license) but we added a couple days to explore and enjoy the sunshine.  Every time we go on a trip we say, “This could be one of the last times it’s just us!” 🙂Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing and outdoor

Thanksgiving– Apparently I have no pictures to prove we celebrated this great holiday, but I assure you we were able to eat our hearts out with both sides of the family 🙂

Christmas {Go Cubs Go!}

Lil’ sista B moved back to Iowa from Nashville! That means: much anticipated SISTER DATES have started again! And, since we have such a blast, the boys wanted in on the action too so we have expanded it to sibling nights 🙂

Updated Adoption/family pictures. My girl Meg with Capri Photography did an AMAZING job, didn’t she?!? ( I think it’s important to be able to show Bebe some day that even though a lot of our life happened without them, we still value them as apart of our lives before we knew them physically. Think of it as continuous maternity pictures 😉 )

Primerica Disney World trip: What a blessing to work with a company that treats us well! We qualified and won this amazing trip and even though we didn’t have kiddos to chase around Disney World, we still had a blast 🙂 Shortly after this trip, I went full time with Nick building our business together and we love it!

Along with lots of family time/events, we have been able to meet some really amazing people since we moved back to Iowa (which was almost 1 1/2 years ago!!)and of course, reconnect with everyone else 🙂  Even though we miss East TN and all our amazing friends there, we are so thankful that we made the decision to move back and settle back in the Midwest.

So, I know this is not the most riveting post but at least you are now up to date on what’s going on! I promise not to wait 8 months to post again 😉

As always, thank you for your continued prayers!
